You have taken many computer science required courses to understand the foundation of the general computer science field. Our department offers many exciting elective courses for you to select, but there might be many to choose from. This course offers you a selection of advanced topics to help you choose elective courses and help you decide which field you would be interested for your future career and/or graduate study.

This class will be co-taught among six to seven faculties. Each faculty will cover a field with two weeks of lectures. The current tentative topics include (subject to change):Multimedia analysis and retrieval, Introduction to digital humanities (數位人文導論), Virtualization , Bioinformatics and computational chemistry , New-generation network technologies, Ubiquitous computing, and Algorithms for Bioinformatics
